VMUG Collective
Who: VMUG (VMware User Group)
What: VMUG Collective
Why: To create a content hub for VMUG members.
When I began working for Innovatis Group, one of our biggest clients was VMUG (VMware User Group). It had over 100,000 members worldwide but there was a key issue. They had no content to keep them engaged.

One of my first ideas was to create the VMUG Collective. Initially, VMUG had a blog to store the content for their email newsletter and not much else. My vision was to create a section of the VMUG website (which I also wireframed and built, but that's for another day) where members could read blogs from other members and listen to podcasts.

I worked alongside Data Driven Design, our external development partner, to create the site and connect it to the Wordpress CMS that I managed.

What I'm most proud of with the development of the VMUG Collective is that even almost a year after leaving Innovatis Group, I've created the foundation for content for this amazing user group. One of the best things that have happened is that now VMUG members have a place to submit content for as long as VMUG exists, whether it be a VMUG Professional Development podcast, Hello From My Homelab video, or article.
